International Women's Futsal in Toronto: Costa Rica arrives Dec. 02; local and national All Stars Team ready

AMF (World Futsal Association) WOMEN'S FUTSAL IN TORONTO, organized by Canadian Futsalon Association (FUTSALCA) and Toronto Futsal Association: Costa Rica National Team competes with Team Canada, Ontario and All-Stars Toronto, on Saturday December 3 and Sunday December 4, 2011.

Costa Rica brings the same player captain that just compete this year in the FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany. They just come back from Colombia, where they played some international friendly against Copa Postobon professional players, and they will come to Toronto with all the enthusiasm to compete with Canadian teams.

Team Canada will have great players too, convocated from all-stars and varsity teams from University of Toronto, York University, University of Ottawa, University of Halifax, among others, as well as stars from OWSL (Ontario Women's Soccer League), Toronto District Association and Toronto Central Soccer League, too. Team Canada will be coached by instructor Juan Carlos Cordero.

Some of the players confirmed are Madison Ala, Monika Cordero-Flores, Jody Meyers and Lisa Edwards. Brandi Boulet is injured and won't be able to play the international tournament, but a group of passionate and talented women players will come to defend Canada's national shirt.

Carlos Quiroga, former professional Argentinean players, will put in scene a young but powerful squad for Ontario, and Golazo will have a great conglomerate with women's players from Humber College and OSWL, and where Sonia O'Neill seems to be one of the great women players.
