David Villa leaving Barcelona, keen on joining Spurs over Fiorentina as Villas-Boas signals new formation

 David Villa, the 31-year-old Barcelona striker, will decide between signing for Fiorentina or Tottenham next week. 
Villa, who is set to play for Spain against Brazil in the Confederations Cup final on Sunday night, is ready to commit to Spurs as long as they can resolve the issue over the £12million fee Barca expect to receive.

Villa has fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp and is said to prefer the Premier League over Serie A, although Fiorentina see him as a replacement for Juventus and Chelsea target Stevan Jovetic.
Spurs manager Andre Villas Boas, however, regards Villa as a key figure in the club's move towards a 4-3-3 formation for next season.
