COLOMBIA 2013 WOMEN’S FUTSAL WORLD CUP: Barrancabermeja, Colombia will host the Futsal Women’s World Cup; Canada is preparing for the World tournament

It is a fact, Barrancabermeja will host the Futsal Women's World Cup, in November next year 16 selections will arrive to the city.

The information was confirmed yesterday by the director of the Institute for Sport and Recreation of Barrancabermeja, Inderba, Orlando de Jesús Russo Diaz, who further explained that there will be some adjustments to the Coliseum Luis Francisco Castellanos, as required by a competition of these characteristics.

Also, the official said through his press office, the World Association of Futsal (AMF) confirmed the good news, and now we have 15 months to prepare this world celebration.

With regard to the new date chosen by AMF, Diaz Russo explained that was change in order to achieve optimal preparation of scenarios.

First the date was announced in April next year.

"The postponement it`s in order to have enough time to adapt the infrastructure of sports arena where the competition will be fulfilled," said general manager of Inderba.

 Adjustments to the Coliseum

TEAM Canada’s Head Coach, Juan Carlos Cordero, and National Technical Director, Jaime Meza, are scouting the best players in the country to represent the red and white team.
