FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 ticket on-sale date and prices unveiled

Venue pack ticket information for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 was unveiled by Canadian Women’s National Team Players Christine Sinclair, Erin McLeod, and Carmelina Moscato at Edmonton City Hall this 28 October 2013. It was also announced that the on-sale date for the first phase of ticket sales will be 28 November 2013.
“The National Organising Committee for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 is excited to be reaching out to the Canadian soccer community with venue ticket packages at discounted rates,” said Victor Montagliani, Chair of the National Organising Committee for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014.“By making this competition affordable and accessible for all Canadians, we are helping to build a legacy for women’s soccer in Canada.”
Venue pack ticket purchasers receive price discounts over individual match tickets as well as the opportunity to purchase their venue packs beginning 28 November 2013. Visa is the preferred payment method of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014.
Details on individual match tickets will be announced in the Spring of 2014. Following the Official Draw in the Spring of 2014, there will be a Visa exclusive pre-sale period.
Canadian players on hand included Christine Sinclair, Erin McLeod, and Carmelina Moscato, who were all FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup all-stars at the inaugural event in Canada in 2002. The team won a silver medal and helped set a still-standing record of 47,784 fans in the final, capturing the hearts of a nation.
“Playing at home is an incredible experience,” said Christine Sinclair, Canada’s Captain and recipient of the adidas Golden Shoe and adidas Golden Ball in the 2002 competition. “We are confident Canadians will come out and support the up-and-coming Canadian stars on the U-20 team, as they did for us in 2002.”
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 will feature 16 teams in 32 matches across four Canadian cities: Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Montréal, Québec; and Moncton, New Brunswick. The competition runs from 5-24 August 2014.
“As we see looking back on the heroics of previous FIFA U-20 Women's World Cups, the emerging talents in Canada could well go on to become the stars of tomorrow,” said Mr. Montagliani. “We are confident Canadians from coast to coast will be watching with interest and excitement as the players aim to establish themselves on the international scene.”

« Le Comité organisateur national pour la Coupe du Monde Féminine U-20 de la FIFA Canada 2014 est enthousiaste d’offrir à la communauté du soccer canadien ces forfaits de billets de site à des prix réduits », affirme Victor Montagliani, président du Comité organisateur national pour la Coupe du Monde Féminine de la FIFA Canada 2014. « En rendant cette compétition abordable et accessible à tous les Canadiens, nous aidons à bâtir un héritage pour le soccer féminin au Canada.»
Les détenteurs de forfaits de billets de site auront droit à des rabais sur les billets individuels de match ainsi que l’occasion d’acheter leurs forfaits de site à compter du 28 novembre 2013. The FIFA Women's World Cup is held every four years, with the next edition to be played in Canada in 2015. It marks the first major sporting event hosted in Canada from coast to coast, with matches to be played in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montréal and Moncton. The FIFA Women's World Cup will feature the 24 best women's football teams in the world.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ will be preceded one year earlier by the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, one of two FIFA women’s youth tournaments. The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup returns to Canada for the first time since 2002. The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Canada 2014 will feature 16 teams featuring players born 1994 or later.

La Coupe du Monde Féminine de la FIFA se déroule chaque quatre ans et la prochaine édition se déroulera au Canada en 2015. Venue pack ticket purchasers will have the first opportunity to purchase their tickets for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 when they go on sale 28 November 2013 at FIFA.com/Canada2014. In the first phase before the Official Draw in the Spring of 2014, only venue packs will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Details on individual match tickets will be announced in the Spring of 2014. Following the Official Draw in the Spring of 2014, there will be a Visa exclusives pre-sale period.
At the media event in Edmonton, Canadian players were Erin McLeod, Carmelina Moscato and Christine Sinclair, all of whom were FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup all-stars at the inaugural event in Canada in 2002.
