Amway renews commitment to Canadian soccer

On the brink of the start of the 2014 Amway Canadian Championship, the Canadian Soccer Association and Amway Canada are pleased to announce a multi-year extension of their corporate partnership – a relationship that began in 2008 – that will see Amway retain its position as a Primary Sponsor of Canada Soccer through 2015. The flagship of this extended partnership is Amway’s continued role as title sponsor of the Canadian Championship, now in its seventh edition. Amway will also continue providing valuable support to Canada’s National Teams, Sport Chek National Championships and Ombrelle Active Start Soccer Fests.
”We are thrilled to have Amway extend their commitment to our organization and sport,” said Peter Montopoli, General Secretary, Canada Soccer. “To have long-time partners like Amway see the value in associating with the Canada Soccer brand is as much a source of pride for us as their continued support is contributive to our success in delivering quality programming to the entire Canadian soccer community.”
“Amway Canada is proud to continue our involvement with Canada Soccer,” said Lydia Ayora, Country Manager at Amway Canada. ”At Amway, we believe that with the right team and the right tools, you can achieve your dreams. That’s why, for a sixth consecutive year, we are partnering with Canada Soccer as the title sponsor for the Amway Canadian Championship, and why for five years running, we have supported the Men’s and Women’s National Teams while also helping to build passion for the game with youngsters at Active Start Soccer Fest events held across the country.”
The 2014 edition of the Amway Canadian Championship will feature the five professional clubs across Canada: Montreal Impact, Ottawa Fury FC, Toronto FC, FC Edmonton and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Amway brand will be featured throughout the competition which runs from 23 April to 4 June.
As part of this extension, Amway will continue its partnership with Canada’s National Teams and will now feature the Men’s and Women’s Teams as the first ever Canadian Ambassadors for the Nutrilite brand. All National Teams will be fueled by Nutrilite vitamins and dietary supplements, available exclusively from Amway.
Amway’s renewed support of the Sport Chek National Championships and the Ombrelle Active Starts Soccer Fests completes the brand’s involvement across all levels of the soccer landscape.
