Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Champions League final as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich clash at Wembley in a bid to become European champions.
The all-German clash sees Munich start as marginal favourites having stormed to the Bundesliga title this term, and they will appear in their third final in four years.
Dortmund, who were the German champions before Munich wrestled the title from them are appearing in just their second ever Champions League final, but will take inspiration from their first appearance in 1997 when they caused a minor upset to defeat Juventus.

BAYERN MUNICH HAVE WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Full-time: Borussia Dortmund 1-2 Bayern Munich
90+4min: Time is just about up as Mario Gomez replaces Mandzukic for Bayern.

90+1min: We are into three minutes added on where loads of subs have been made. Dortmund send Nuri Shain and Julian Scheiber on for Bender and Blaszczykowski, while Bayern replace Ribery with Luiz Gustavo.

89min: GOAL! Borussia Dortmund 1-2 BAYERN MUNICH
Maybe they have won it in 90! Arjen Robben takes advantage of sloppy defending at the back to steal the ball inside the box and poke the ball past Weidenfeller.

87min: But Bayern nearly win it in 90! Philipp Lahm's cut-back is dummied by Muller before Schweinsteiger's first time effort from 20 yards is parried by Weidenfeller.

86min: Still no substitutions by the way. Both managers look like they are planning for an additional 30 minutes with extra-time.

83min: It's an even battle on the pitch but reflecting the mood are the fans as Dortmund's following continue to cheer on their side, while Munich supporters look a little nervous.

80min: Dark arts from Lewandoswki who sneakily stamps on the back of Boateng who was lying on the ground following a challenge. He gets away with it as the Munich defender receives treatment.

79min: From former Champions League referee and Sportsmail's Graham Poll:
Clear penalty and Dante should have been sent off for 2nd yellow. Ribery shouldn't be on the pitch!!

Double booking: Franck Ribery (left) and Kevin Grosskreutz are cautioned
Double booking: Franck Ribery (left) and Kevin Grosskreutz are cautioned
76min: Wiedenfeller, now back in the game, makes a superb stop as he leaps to his left to keep out a powerful 23 yard drive from David Alaba.

74min: What a finish from Lewandowski, who hits a dipping half volley into the back of the net from 35 yards out...the trouble is the whistle had already gone for a foul.
Moments earlier Grosskreutz and Ribery were booked following a disagreement.

71min: One of the all time great saves - and there isn't a goalkeeper in sight! Weidenfeller is out of the game as Muller takes the ball past him, but as he passes across goal for Robben to tap in, Subotic somehow clears the ball off the line in front of the Dutchman. Dortmund boss Klopp celebrated that like a goal.

68min: GOAL! BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-1 Bayern Munich
What is Dante playing at?! The defender could arguably be sent off as he kicks out at Reus inside the box to concede a penalty, before Ilkay Gundogan converts by sending Neuer the wrong way from 12 yards.

67min: PENALTY (Borussia Dortmund)
Reckless: Dante conceded a penalty following a foul on Marco Reus
Reckless: Dante conceded a penalty following a foul on Marco Reus
66min: From InfostradaLive:
Mario Mandzukic is only the second Croatian to score in a European final of any kind. Zvonimir Boban netted for AC Milan in the European Super Cup Final in 1995.

63min: Mandzukic is again through on goal but this time his shot is blocked behind by the Dortmund defence. Big test of character for Klopp's team now.

Calling number nine: Mario Mandzukic taps home for Bayern Munich's opening goal

60min: GOAL! Borussia Dortmund 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH
After fluffing a header from a couple of yards out seconds before, Mario Mandzkuic strikes on the hour! Robben gets behind the Dortmund defence inside the box, before his byline cross from the near post creeps its way wast Schmelzer and for the Croatian to tap home.

57min: Better from Bayern. Javi Martinez plays a lovely through ball for Ribery, but the Frenchman sees the ball quickly stolen off him by Hummels.
The defender immediately boots the ball out of play to allow Mandzukic to receive treatment for a head injury...well I say head injury, more like a delayed reaction following a clash with Neven Subotic.

54min: From InfostradaLive:
Bayern Munich have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four Champions League matches (twice against Juventus and twice against FC Barcelona). Their streak is a record for German clubs in the Champions League. The last player to score a CL goal against Bayern is Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny.

51min: A stuttering opening to the half, with Munich again slow out the blocks. The likes of Muller and Schweinsteiger are struggling to make an impact on the game.

48min: Free-kick to Dortmund 30 yards out after Ribery trips Reus. The ball played into the box takes a deflection before Neuer plucks the ball out of the air.

Second-half: Dortmund get us going again at Wembley, where it doesn't matter if it's an England game or a Champions League final, there are always plenty of empty seats on show in the corporate area near the tunnel at the start of a second half.
20.43: From InfostradaLive:
Of the 58 previous Champions League finals, 21 were goalless at half-time.

Controversial: Franck Ribery (centre) catches Robert Lewandowski with an elbow
20.40: A stat from Opta has informed me that Robben has now had 24 shots on goal across three Champions League finals - and has still yet to score a goal.

20.37: Just seen replays from that first half showing Lewandowski and Ribery battling for the ball, before the Frenchman sneakily throws two elbows at the Pole.
At the time it looked like a scrap on the ball, but the Munich midfielder could have easily seen a red card for that - totally needless.

20.34: Don't let the scoreline fool you, it's been a very entertaining first half. Both sides have had great chances to score but some superb saves are the only reason this is still goalless.

Half-time: Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Bayern Munich
44min: A tale of two keepers so far and Weidenfeller is the man to Dortmund's rescue. Mats Hummels makes a mess of trying to head clear a long pass, allowing Robben through on goal.
But the Dortmund keeper is again off his line to block the Dutchman's instant shot with his face.

42min: Reus manages to get behind the Bayern defence but this time Neuer is not needed, as the Munich backline recovers to force the attacker to shoot wide from a tight angle at the near post.

No way past: Robert Lewandowski sees a shot blocked by Munich keeper Neuer

40min: From Sportsmail's Matt Barlow at Wembley Stadium:
'Bayern are finally relaxing into it. They started like a team stifled by the weight of expectation - and perhaps the after effects of last year.
'Dortmund have played freely in comparison but may still regret failing to make the most of early chances.'

37min: Set-piece chance for Bayern. A corner is swung into the box but Thomas Muller can only glance his header across goal and wide.

35min: After a lull in play, Lewandowski sparks it to life again. The Dortmund striker is through on goal but in a save similar to Weidenfeller's on Robben, Neuer blocks the Pole's effort.

Quick reactions: Dortmund's Roman Weidenfeller raced off his line to block Munich's Arjen Robben
Quick reactions: Dortmund's Roman Weidenfeller raced off his line to block Munich's Arjen Robben
33min: From OptaPaolo:
4 - Manuel Neuer has made 4 saves in the first 22 minutes of play, his joint-best tally in a single Champions League game this term. Busy.

30min: I thought Neuer was keeping Bayern in this, but Weidenfeller has made two cracking saves now. Arjen Robben is unmarked and onside as he runs through on goal but the Dortmund keeper is very quick off his line to block the Dutchman at point blank range.

29min: First booking goes to Dante, who trips Reus 10 yards inside the Munich half.

Reflex: Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller saves a header from Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic
Reflex: Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller saves a header from Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic
27min: Finally Munich come to life! Ribery's cross to the back post is nodded across goal by Mario Mandzukic, but Roman Weidenfeller adjusts well to tip the ball onto the crossbar and over.
From the corner, Javi Martinez heads over from around the penalty spot.

25min: Quite surprised to read that Bayern Munich have had 58 per cent of the ball so far - they have done absolutely nothing with it. Dortmund still look the better side but Neuer is keeping them at bay.

22min: More Dortmund pressure. This time Sven Bender controls a cut-back inside the box, but his curling effort towards the bottom corner is easily saved by Neuer.

Top save: Manuel Neuer keeps out a volley from Dortmund's Jakub Blaszczykowski
Top save: Manuel Neuer keeps out a volley from Dortmund's Jakub Blaszczykowski
20min: A fine counter attack from Dortmund, with Neuer again having to bail out Munich. Kevin Grosskreutz plays a through ball for Marco Reus, and after the forward skips one challenge, his 20-yard drive is parried behind by the Munich keeper.

18min: A delay in play here as Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery goes down winded after he blocks a clearance with his stomach - he will need a second or two to get his breath back.

15min: And Neuer is again Munich's saviour seconds later as he blocks a Blaszczykowsi volley wide from point-point blank range. Bayern cannot get into any attacking areas at this stage.

Outnumbered: Bayern Munich players surround Dortmund's Marco Reus
Outnumbered: Bayern Munich players surround Dortmund's Marco Reus
13min: Out of nothing, Dortmund nearly take the lead! Lewandowski tries his luck from 30 yards but his shot looks like it's dipping under the crossbar until Neuer turns the ball over for a corner.

10min: Dortmund are starting to up the gears now. Jakub Blaszczykowsi sees a ricochet from his own pass fall to him on the edge of the box, but the Pole fires wide across goal.

7min: Marcel Schmelzer swings in the corner for Dortmund but Manuel Neuer is off his line to claim a comfortable catch.

Held back: Bayern's Thomas Muller (left) is challenged by Dortmund's Neven Subotic in the early stages
Held back: Bayern's Thomas Muller (left) is challenged by Dortmund's Neven Subotic in the early stages
6min: No clear cut chances yet but Dortmund win another corner as Dante deflects a cross behind. Klopp's side have settled better here.

3min: First corner for Dortmund as Robert Lewandowski controls a cross before seeing his powerful shot blocked behind by Jerome Boateng for a corner.

19.46: From InfostradaLive:
For the first time since the 07/08 #ucl final, no players are suspended. Last year, Bayern missed 3 players due to a suspension.

19.43: It's a sea of yellow and red in the crowd now as both players take to the field and observe the fabulous Champions League anthem.

19.40: Hardly a spare seat in the house now. Good news for Bayern Munich, as Schweinsteiger is passed clear to play following that incident in the warm up.

19.37: As the opening ceremony gets underway, this is the fourth Champions League final between teams from the same country.
Real Madrid beat Valencia in 2000, Milan overcame Juventus in 2003, and Manchester United beat Chelseain 2008.
Of the three winning teams only United had finished above their final victims in their domestic championship.

19.34: From OptaFranz:
17 - Bayern have not lost any of their 17 games in all comps 2012/13 without Toni Kroos in the starting eleven (W16, 1D).
19.31: Dortmund have only appeared in one Champions League final before - the 1997 win against Juvents - but Munich have a deeper history in Europe. here is their final record:
1974: 4-0 v Atletico Madrid, Brussels (replay after 1-1 draw)
1975: 2-0 v Leeds, Paris
1976: 1-0 v Saint Etienne, Glasgow
1982: 0-1 v Aston Villa, Rotterdam
1987: 1-2 v Porto, Vienna
1999: 1-2 v Manchester United, Barcelona
2001: 1-1 v Valencia (5-4 on penalties), Milan
2010: 0-2 v Inter Milan, Madrid

19.28: From InfostradaLive:
This is the 17th all-German tie in European competitions and the first since Werder Bremen and Hamburg met in the semifinals of the 2008/2009 UEFA Cup. Only Spain (26) and England (18) have produced more domestic encounters in major European competitions.

19.25: Potentially a big problem for Bayern. Bastian Schweinsteiger has gone down under a challenge from a team-mate in the warm up, and is now receiving treatment on his ankle. He looks in some pain but no signs that he could miss the final at this stage.

19.20: One of my more challenging tasks this week was to squeeze 10 strikes into a list of top 10 European Cup final goals. It was a tricky to leave a few out (sorry Dejan Savicevic) but click here to watch the full list from 10 down to the very best.

19.15: While Bayern are on fire going into this fixture, Dortmund have suffered a loss of form at the worst possible time.
Last Saturday's 2-1 home loss to strugglers Hoffenheim left Dortmund four games without a win, their worst run since September 2011. They have not gone five matches without victory since September 2009.

19.10: Both sets of players are now on the pitch for the warm up. The Dortmund players are given a huge roar by a sea of yellow at one end of the ground.

19.05: Match referee Nicola Rizzoli will not be that familiar to Dortmund but he has taken charge of Munich matches in recent times.
The Italian was the official for the German side's 1-0 defeat at Basle in last season's last 16, while he was also in charge when Manchester United beat them team 3-2 in a 2010 quarter-final.
The twist is Munich still won both ties.

18.44: From OptaFranz:
7 - Mario Gotze was directly involved in seven goals in his last seven appearances in the CL (two goals, five assists). Missing.

18.41: From Sportsmail's Matt Barlow at Wembley:
I was with Franz Beckenbauer at a Gazprom' event earlier. The Kaiser is going for 2-2 after 90 minutes, 3-3 after extra-time and a Bayern win on penalties.
Beckenbauer said: 'My dream and my wishes are to see really exciting football at the final, maybe a draw in the overtime and then penalty kicks, then Bayern Munich has to win!
'We need to show the world, this game tonight is a good opportunity for both teams to show the world how good the football in Germany is.
'Teams like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund and the national team are on their way, maybe next year on their way to Brazil to win the World Cup. They have a good chance. German football is really on the top, so that’s a good opportunity tonight to show this standard to the world.''

18.29: Sir Alex Ferguson would have preferred to be at Wembley today as manager of Manchester United, but the recently retired Red Devils boss is at the ground anyway, along with England manager Roy Hodgson.

18.26: Bayern's most recent match with Bundesliga rivals in this tournament was the 6-0 aggregate win against Kaiserslautern in the 1999 Champions League quarter-finals.

18.21: Both sides have now arrived at Wembley, the Dortmund fans booing the Munich team bus as it makes its way into the ground after it is shown on the big screen inside the stadium. Dortmund players are on the pitch soaking up the atmosphere under the late evening London sun.

18.18: One man sadly missing out tonight for Dortmund is Mario Gotze and it's not just because he is a joy to watch on the field.
The midfielder is controversially moving to Bayern Munich this summer, and it would have been very interesting to see how he would have had an impact on this game tonight.

18.15: Bayern are seeking to join Liverpool on five European Cup wins and become the joint-third most successful club in the competition's history behind Real Madrid and AC Milan. Dortmund are eyeing just their second triumph following the classic 1997 final win against Juventus.

18.12: Team news could be in at any moment folks, so stick around for all the latest on who will be starting tonight. We'll bring it to you as soon as it comes in.

18.09: Fans with one of those gold dust tickets are now entering Wembley. Although there is many empty seats on show, they are (especially Dortmund supporters) are making enormous noise. The atmosphere is going to be terrific once the place is full to the brim.

18.04: Here is an interesting stat from InfostradaLive to look out for this evening concerning clubs coming back to win after conceding first.
Since United's stunning turnaround against Munich in 1999, only Barcelona in 2006 against Arsenal have won the Champions League after letting the first goal in.

17.59: As you can see from the pictures below, there are a lot of fans in town for the game, but as ever these days, many have been shut out of Wembley in favour of the 'UEFA family.'
Such is the demand for tickets, some are being sold on the black market for £14,000.

17.54: The Dortmund team bus is now on its way to Wembley with just under two hours until kick-off.

17.49: Leading the Borussia Dortmund strike force tonight will be Robert Lewandowski, who scored four times against Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
The Pole is one of Europe's most sought after striker now so he has come a long way since being told to eat more bacon sandwiches, explained in this feature from John Edwards.
17.44: With the German Cup final on June 1 to come, there is an interesting sense of deja-vu ahead of this final.
In 1997 when Dortmund won the Champions League, it came following two seasons as German champions. Bayern had just reclaimed the Bundesliga trophy and Stuttgart won the German Cup.

17.36: Munich hold the upper hand over Dortmund judging by recent games but the last final these two competed in was a cracker going in favour of the latter. Last season's German Cup final resulted in Robert Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick in a 5-2 win for Jurgen Klopp's team.

17.21: A Bayern victory would make Heynckes the 19th coach to have won the European Cup twice, following his 1998 success with Real Madrid.
He would also become only the fourth to have triumphed with two different clubs after Ernst Happel (Feyenoord 1970, Hamburg 1983), Ottmar Hitzfeld (Dortmund 1997, Bayern 2001) and Jose Mourinho (Porto 2004, Inter Milan 2010).
17.16: Munich will have a psychological edge going into the game - having gone unbeaten in four matches against Dortmund this season.
Both league meetings resulted in draws, but the Bundesliga champions triumphed 2-1 in the German Super Cup at the start of the season and 1-0 in the German Cup quarter-final back in February.

17.11: Good to see Munich have done their homework on the London traffic - their team bus is now on its way to Wembley from the hotel.

17.08: Jamie Carragher was one of the stars on show at the UEFA Champions Festival today and the former Liverpool defender has claimed that Dortmund will go into the final in a similar position to what his Liverpool side did in 2005.
That doesn't mean he has predicted a six-goal thriller with ridiculous comebacks, but more that you shouldn't write off Jurgen Klopp's team.

17.03: For those of you wondering if that last meeting might mean we are in for a goalles stalemate, here's a stat from OptaFranz to help ease those fears:
1 - Bayern have failed to score only in one of their 52 matches in all comps. 2012/13  (0-2 v Arsenal CL last 16 2nd leg). Threat.

17.00: These two have met in the Champions League before by the way. Back in 1998, when Dortmund were defending champions, the holders defeated Munich 1-0 on aggregate following an extra-time strike by Stephane Chapuisat at the Westfalen Stadion.
Their joy didn't last long though, Jupp Heynckes (yes, this evening's Munich manager) was in charge of the Real Madrid side they defeated Dortmund 2-0 on aggregate in the semi-finals.

16.55: That's because the Germans have lost three of their last four European finals. Manchester United scored twice in injury time to steal a 2-1 win in 1999 (you may have heard of it), Inter Milan defeated them 2-0 in 2010, while Didier Drogba's heroics robbed the German side of success in their own back yard at the Allianz Arena to hand the trophy to Chelsea last season.

16.47: This is the seventh European Cup to be staged at Wembely - with the last one of course coming just two years ago as Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-1.
Pep Guardiola's team ran rings around the Premier League champions that night, but I expect a more even contest this evening even if Bayern Munich are favourites.

16.42: From Sportsmail's Alex Kay:
'Brilliant atmosphere in central london and up towards Wembey from Dortmund and Bayern fans. I've even seen leiderhosen (spelling?)'

16.39: It's not all smiles though. Near Wembley today a video showing a few Munich and Dortmund supporters having a scuffle has emerged, but thankfully this only looks like a very small minority at this stage. You can watch the video by clicking here.

16.36: All in all it's made for a good atmosphere, not just at Wembley either. The UEFA Champions Festival at International Quarter close to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Straford is already underway - and there are a few famous faces there.
Among the likes of Luis Figo, Fabio Cannavaro Michael Laudrup and Jamie Carragher is Will Smith and his son Jaden who all competed in an Ultimate Champions Match.

16.33: For the past few days the weather has been a bit miserable in the capital, but for today at least there has been sunny intervals as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund fans (especially the latter) have spent the day hovering around London. I could swear there were a yellow & black shirts around every corner.

16.30: Good afternoon folks, welcome to Sportsmail's live coverage of the Champions League final.
For a long time after the semi-final draw was made, I thought we were looking at an all-Spanish dust up at Wembley between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
But just like at Euro 96 and the last game under the twin towers in 2000, the Germans have taken over Wembley again as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich defeated the Spanish giants to compete in the Champions League final. Looking on the positive side though, this should be a cracking game.

Level of technical skill is brilliant. I think I counted ONE instance in the first half when someone failed to control the ball. I guess xxxDaniellexx or whatever her name is should go back to the kitchen. This is REAL football. Not that rubbish that Sky feed us in England.

Great game so far. Hummels and Muller are outstanding. Miles ahead of overated crap like Phil Jones and Welbeck. No wonder Germany are streets ahead of us internationally.

I love that during the Super Bowl half time you get some of the best and most expensive adverts of the year, during the Champions League Final you get McDonalds, Wickes and Mountain Dew... -_-
