VAUGHAN, July 16, 2013 – Provincial supremacy is on the line this weekend as the Ontario Cup has its first set of Ontario Cup Finals. The Under 18 and Under 21 Divisions will have their Semi-Final Round games on Saturday, July 20 and their Final Round games on Sunday, July 21.
The Under 18 Boys Division has shaped up to be very similar to last year’s Under 17 Boys Tier 1 Division, with three of the remaining four teams having reached last year’s Semi-Finals: Erin Mills Eagles (Champions), Waterloo United (Finalists), and Ajax FC 95B Red (Semi-Finalists).
In the Under 18 Girls Division, two of the four teams from the 2012 Under 17 Girls Semi-Finals have returned to the final four this year: Ajax FC 95 Girls Red (Finalists) and Erin Mills Striking Eagles (Semi-Finalists).
Unlike the Under 18 Divisions, the Under 21 Men’s Division is wide open. All four remaining teams did not reach the Semi-Final Round in the 2012 competition, so the 2013 Ontario Cup is there for the taking.
Semi-Final and Final Round games being played this weekend, July 20-21 are listed below:
Under 18 Boys
Under 18 Girls
Under 21 Men
